About Sam

I grew up on a 200 cow dairy farm when I was a child, working all kinds of jobs on the farm including; feeding calves, cutting hay, unloading haylage and corn silage into the silos, picking rocks and other field work. I’ve always had an interest in farming, but after high school I decided to join the Navy. After serving for 5 years as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate, stationed in Washington State, I was honorably discharged and took a job in the semi-conductor industry for 2 years. In the fall of 2002 I was laid off and at that point felt God calling my back home to Wisconsin.

I moved back to work on the family dairy farm, which had expanded to 750 milking cows. I was put in charge of feeding the cows. I loved that job. Fours years after working as a feeder on the farm I left to pursue my college education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I graduated with a BS-Agricultural Engineering-Mechanized Systems Management degree.

In 2010, I then took a job at Digi-Star, where I was in Sales and Product Management. I really enjoyed being at Digi-Star, but was unfortunately laid off in the summer of 2016. I then took a position with Purina Animal Nutrition as a Supervisor of Nutrition Consultants. With my interest growing in feeding technologies, I left my position in 2019 to gain experience in equipment. Unfortunately, due to the downturn in the economy I was laid off in April of 2020.

I was not discouraged as God has given me a mind full of ideas. This became the perfect opportunity to pursue my dream of starting my own business. Bringing to fruition the ideas and wide variety of experiences I have in feeding and agricultural technologies. I have several different products that I’d like to bring to market that are of my own, but I also plan on bringing new niche feeding technologies to market from other sources that are under-represented in the Midwest. I live in Fort Atkinson, WI with my wife and 2 children.
